Our homes are the foundation of our communities in the greater Upper Valley region (region). To make and keep our communities strong, it helps to understand what our neighbors and ourselves think about both the homes we currently have and those needed need. To that end, three opinion surveys were undertaken to gauge attitudes toward homes in the region: 1) a public opinion survey; 2) a survey for municipal officials; and 3) a survey of providers for emergency and homes with supportive services (the results for which are covered in a separate report on Emergency Housing and Homes with Supportive Services). See Keys to the Valley Toolbox for related strategies for the region, especially Objective – Foster community champions of the homes we need (under Action Area D – Make it Easier to Build Homes).
