For example, Housing first programs connect individuals and families to needed homes with supportive services, a proven evidence-based method to help achieve long term housing stability. The provided supportive services and case management are critical to the success of these programs. Emergency housing providers should provide the internal supports to connect individuals and families to available and appropriate homes with supportive services, as well as work closely partner organizations to advance those types in short supply.
