Some families without homes will sometimes live with friends or family until they are able to access permanent homes. These families are often not captured by the current Point-In-Time (PIT) count methodology, which means that these families are not connected to supportive services that may be of benefit.  Local partners should work together and pilot a strategy to better capture the number of families living in this situation.
