The tri-commissions should act as a voice to state legislators on the challenges facing the region’s homes. The tri-commissions should then work to highlight solutions to these challenges where legislators have a role to play. The tri-commissions should continue to share and hear perspectives on identified legislative solutions from municipal and organizational stakeholders throughout the region in order to act as a balanced and representative voice for the region’s housing needs. The tri-commissions should highlight the importance of certain legislative action to be passed in coordination, by both states. This bi-state approach is appropriate as it reflects the interconnected nature and needs of the region.
