Racial and ethnic minorities experience homelessness at a higher rate than white people. In order to address this disparity based in systemic discrimination, communities and providers must better understand the specific factors driving racial and ethnic minorities to be at greater risk in the greater Upper Valley region. Knowledge of these specific factors should be used to identify effective intervention points to remedy this disparity. Local partners should work together and pilot a strategy to enumerate and understand the experiences of unsheltered racial and ethnic minorities on a regular basis.
