Standards can create costs and are supposed to be consistent with municipal plan goals. Many can be eliminated or relaxed without losing a benefit or creating public harm. - Allow more homes per lot/acre
- Adjust setbacks
- Reduce parking requirements
- Reduce minimum lot size in rural areas
