A shortage of affordable homes creates many challenges for employers seeking to attract a workforce. Some employers respond to this challenge by developing new homes themselves or investing in new home creation. An additional approach is to involve employers directly in planning and advocating for creating needing homes, particularly those with housing programs (e.g., down payment assistance).
